BaD Scones is a calm café tucked into Damansara Utama that draws in a mix of locals looking for a relaxed spot to enjoy a quiet afternoon or a casual meet-up over tea and coffee. The atmosphere leans towards English countryside charm, with simple yet cozy décor that feels inviting without being fussy – a setting that fits well for both a peaceful solo visit or a small gathering with friends or family.

This café stands out for its baked goods, especially the scones that avoid overpowering buttery richness, striking a balance that appeals to those who appreciate subtlety in classic pastries. Varieties like the plain, cranberry, and poppyseed scones come highly regarded, often paired with clotted cream for that traditional touch. Alongside pastries, you’ll find choices such as pandan layer cake and Victoria sandwich that add a local twist to the continental assortment.

Coffee here leans on the dependable side, with a hazelnut latte and quality illy beans making regular appearances – good enough to keep visitors settled whether they're working on a laptop or simply enjoying the moment. The relatively quiet vibe and comfortable seating area encourage lingering, making it a suitable spot for casual high tea or a relaxed weekend break from the city buzz.

BaD Scones also resonates with a sense of community purpose, reflected in their ‘Buy and Donate’ initiative, which hints at a café conscious about giving back. This local character extends to friendly, approachable staff who maintain a welcoming environment despite occasional quieter hours, making it an accessible place to stumble upon throughout the week.

Best visited on weekday afternoons or early evenings, BaD Scones suits those who prefer a less crowded café experience with a focus on thoughtful, well-made pastries and gentle, homey charm. For anyone hunting for a spot in Damansara Utama where the patter of conversation and the aroma of fresh scones mingle quietly, this café offers a grounded, familiar option.

Interesting Cafe. I was wondering why they called their scones, bad. Then I saw Buy and Donate, BaD. Cafe with a heart that contributes to charity. Mondays 20% off the bill. The illy coffee was good, and the shepherds pie (lamb) that came was really delicious and the lovely aroma hits your olfactory canals, the moment you cut it open. The country pie was good and the Scones and the clotted cream were fantastic. Lots of food suitable for light lunches and afternoon tea. Will definitely come again. Free street parking available.

I need to tell this pleasant episode. I was here many times but not open. Till today I walk into half close shuttle shop. The stuff politely told me go to KLGCC, here no longer serve it. I beg just sell me one, I’m here many times because I was told my niece this place serve nice scone. I had been looking for scone that can beat the grandma made authentic scone. The Malay mid age stuff very nice to give one for me to try. Not only the scone melt my heart but the gesture from stuff warm my heart. I drove here many times, the warm gesture from stuff melted my heart like the scone. Yes, I like the scone as warm as my heart now. I will go to KLGCC with friends, full support! Note: I have finished the scone so only taking the full with love packaging.

My Gen Z son introduced this cafe to us, Baby boomers’ parent. A peaceful cafe with beautifully English decorated outlook for 3 of us to enjoy high tea with good selection of delightful continental pasteries, cakes and scones served with selection of coffee, teas and other non alcoholic beverages to choose.. A comfortable cafe to bond with your loved ones and friends where the atmosphere was quite, serene and enjoy a touch of English cafes set up I was facinated with the cafe’s collection of legend cutlery which they used to serve customers and the best part of this cafe, no plastic utensils were served. Staff were friendly. Cafe was very neat, tidy, spacious and clean includind the washroom Parking was easy on a weekend.

I absolutely love this neighborhood gem– it's such a pleasant and welcoming spot to relax or get some work done. The pastries are a definite highlight, consistently delicious and perfectly sized, making them an ideal treat without being overwhelming. What's more, the prices are very reasonable for the quality you get. The only minor downside is the music choice. While the overall vibe is fantastic, the modern music they play feels a bit out of place. Some jazz cafe lounge music would really elevate the atmosphere and make it perfect. Despite the music, I highly recommend this cafe!

Met up with a friend for teatime on a PH at this cafe. We had some scones ( flavour of each ), cookie and a slice of victoria sandwich cake. The scones are good, in fact better than the one in Selfridges in London at one third of the price, a win for sure. The cake was alright and my latte was good. The ambience of the place was like being at your mum's friend's home back in the 80's. Nothing pretentious, easy going and parking was also easy. Definitely a nice, uncomplicated place for folks in PJ to have a meal or some snacks with friends or family. I can see myself coming in again alone with a good book while enjoying some scones and tea.

We'd been here a few times now, and you can tell we quite like this place since we'd done repeated visits. BaD stands for Buy and Donate, so whatever we paid, part of it will go to charity. They do lovely scones (lavender is my favourite), and they serve their scones with butter, jam, and marmalade. Tea all comes in nice English tea set, nicely presented. We'd come here for their lunch too, mushroom soup and tomato soup were great, the fish and chips is of great value. Only thing is, the menu isn't extensive, so come here for tea instead of lunch. I'd also bought some of their biscuits back, they are all very reasonably priced and very buttery. Good value. When I feel like having scones, this is definitely the place that will come to my mind.
